Beautiful shaped pin crafted from the poppy seed heads. Each piece is handmade from solid silver and mounted on an elegant sterling silver lapel pin with protector.
Each pin is unique therefore the sizes vary depending on the flower but the diammeter of those on the photograph is about 20mm & the length of the pin, 50mm
I love the bright colourful poppies that spring up all around here, down by the canal, in the fields and even somehow in the tarmac on the edges of the path behind my house! My Mum kindly dried some poppy seed heads for me in her greenhouse and I painstakingly coated the tops of these in layers and layers of silver clay. It took quite a while but I hope you agree it was worth while. Once in the kiln the seed head burns away leaving behind the unique poppy shape in solid silver, creating some rather special pieces.
Don't wear earrings or necklaces but want to add a touch of elegance to your outfit? Then these beautiful handmade poppy pins could be just what you are looking for. They look great worn on a lapel, holding a scarft or to add a bit of sparkle to your jumper.
Looking for men's or unisex jewellery? Then lapel pins could be the answer.

Caring for your silver jewellery
Your silver jewellery should last a lifetime if cared for properly.
You can ensure this by following these top tips:
Avoid contact with any liquids or gels, cleaning solutions, moisturisers, perfumes and chemicals.
Remove your jewellery when cleaning or going to places like swimming pools & jacuzzis!
Store your jewellery in an air tight container when it is not being worn as this will reduce any humidity & its contact with the air
Your jewellery should be the last thing you put on when getting ready!
However, if your silver does become tarnished then you can polish it with a silver cleaning cloth. This has been impregnated with silver polish to remove the tarnish and restore the sparkle.
It is the additional metals in sterling silver (925), usually copper, that causes the silver to tarnish. Since your piece is made from fine silver (999) it has a higher silver content, therefore in theory it should tarnish less!
