Rotorua Swirl Earrings

Hand crafted circular silver earrings with circle and swirl patterned texture - each pair is slightly different depending on where the pattern falls.  I played around with this design after looking back at my New Zealand photos & reliving the memories of vsiting an area on the North Island with lots of geothermal activity - perfect for a geography student like myself!  I was fascinated by the patterns the in the hot mud as the air escaped.  It was probably the nearest I will ever get to witnessing first hand something that looked like a lunar landscape.
