Meet the Maker
Inspired by nature Esther designs & makes silver jewellery from her tiny home studio, nestled in the hills above Sowerby, West Yorkshire.
She specialises in using silver clay, an ecological product made of 100% recycled silver. This precious metal has been rescued from industrial waste, ground into tiny particles and mixed with an organic binder. Silver clay can be shaped, moulded and textured by Esther before being fired in her small kiln where the transformation to solid silver takes place. A form of modern alchemy.
In 2021 she achieved The Extended Certification in Precious Metal Clay and registered her hallmark (the initials EP inside a black diamond shape) with the London Assay Office. Esther is a member of The Guild of Jewellery Designers.

If you are wanting to see some of Esther Priestley's handmade jewellery in person then this beautiful shop in the heart of Leeds is currently her only regular stockist. There are two shelves downstairs (on the right hand side of the store near the till).
The shop is open Mon - Sat: 9:30AM - 5:00PM & Sunday: 10:30AM - 4:30PM
