Handmade in Sowerby - Silver Jewellery to Treasure
About Esther
About Esther
Inspired by nature I design and make silver jewellery from my tiny home studio, nestled in the hills above Sowerby, West Yorkshire. I specialise in using silver clay, an ecological product made of 100% recycled silver. The precious metal has been rescued from industrial waste, ground into tiny particles and mixed with an organic binder. The silver clay can be shaped, moulded and textured by hand before being fired in my small kiln - where the transformation to solid silver takes place. A form of modern alchemy!
In 2021 I achieved The Extended Certification in Precious Metal Clay and registered my hallmark (EP inside a black diamond shape) with the London Assay Office. I am a member of The Guild of Jewellery Designers.
